Streamline Sunset Edition

The Streamline Sunset Edition is FREE and does not require an internet connection to use. It has all the same features of Streamline 2.0, except those that require a connection to TripleTree services (remote backups, etc).

This edition was created to minimize disruption for existing customers as TripleTree closes its business on December 31 2021, but comes with no warranty or support whatsoever. No updates to the software will be available.

If you are not already using Streamline, simply download and install it to get started today.

Existing Customers

IMPORTANT! Be sure to follow the instructions in the Uninstalling Streamline 2.0 section if you decide to uninstall your current version of Streamline. Failure to do so may result in data loss!

If you already have Streamline 2.0 installed and want to switch to the Sunset Edition, follow the steps below:

  1. Shut down Streamline 2.0
  2. Back up the entire data folder (usually "C:\ProgramData\TripleTree Software\Streamline") to a thumb drive or other safe location; skipping this step may result in data loss!
  3. Download and install Streamline Sunset Edition; you may see warnings about unknown publisher, but you can safely ignore those
  4. Double-click the Streamline Sunset Edition desktop shortcut on your Desktop and confirm you can access your customer data

Streamline 2.0 and Streamline Sunset Edition application files are installed to separate locations and can run side-by-side. However, they share the same data location, which simplifies the process of transitioning to the Sunset Edition.

Microsoft Access Database Engine

In some cases, the correct database engine version will fail to install. When this happens, you will receive one or both of these error messages when starting Streamline:

  • Company name lookup failed
  • The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine

Download and install the correct version of the database engine (32-bit or 64-bit) from Microsoft here. If you are unsure which version to select, follow these instructions.

Uninstalling Streamline 2.0

Uninstalling Streamline 2.0 will also remove your customer database, so you'll need to backup and restore that during this process:

  1. Shut down all versions of Streamline
  2. Back up the entire data folder (usually "C:\ProgramData\TripleTree Software\Streamline") to a thumb drive or other safe location
  3. Use the Windows Add/Remove Programs feature to remove Streamline 2.0
  4. Restore the backup from Step 2 to the same data folder (usually "C:\ProgramData\TripleTree Software\Streamline")
  5. Run Streamline Sunset Edition to confirm you can access your customer data
